Overview
Ellis Don is looking for an Electrical Coordinator who will coordinate electrical scopes to ensure compliance with specifications, drawings and codes. Plan, direct and coordinate on-site electrical activities to comply with specifications, requirements and codes, and provide direction during functional performance testing of electrical systems.
Responsibilities
Coordinate Electrical Scopes to ensure they comply with specifications, drawings and codes
Plan, direct and coordinate all on-site electrical activities to comply with specifications, requirements and codes
Coordinate all relevant drawings and information to eliminate interference problems
Provide direction during functional performance testing of all electrical systems
Assist Project Managers and Superintendents in updating and achieving schedule requirements, mechanical and electrical RFI’s and shop drawings and administer mechanical/electrical project completion requirements
Assist and generate an M&E schedule for trades outlining submissions, delivery, installation and inspection dates; coordinate with project schedule
Track installation in the field and relate to upcoming milestone dates on schedule, be proactive in identifying tasks that may go past completion dates shown on schedule
M&E Construction and Commissioning Schedule Development
Coordination of the Design/Build Electrical Scope (Project Specific)
Maintain constant communication with your M&E sub trades and follow up on a monthly basis to ensure that deliverables and deadlines are maintained
Qualifications
You have an electrical engineering or construction related degree or diploma
1 year of electrical construction experience is preferred
You have a working knowledge of electrical engineering systems, principles and practices
You have the ability to proactively identify and document any problems/conflicts and effectively manage and resolve them
Must be able to work on site in Port Colborne, Ontario
Compensation and Benefits
The salary range for this position is $65,000-$75,000.
