About the Program

As a Civil Engineering Technician, you will play a crucial role in the design and construction of various infrastructure projects, including buildings, bridges, and highways.

The program offers broad knowledge and hands‑on learning in computer‑aided drafting, lab testing, structural design, and project management. Graduates are eligible for associate membership with OACETT and can choose to enter the workforce or continue their studies in Construction Engineering Technology.

Estimated living costs: C $20,270 / year

Estimated tuition fees: C $22,896 / year

Admission Requirements
  • Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) or equivalent, including the following required courses:
  • English – any Grade 12 (C) or (U), or equivalent
  • Mathematics – any Grade 12 (C) or (U), or equivalent
Program Requirements
  • Students must lease a high‑end laptop computer from the college.
  • Students are entitled to state‑of‑the‑art application software packages including Autodesk Inventor, AutoCAD Mechanical, MCL II Robot‑Programming, Revit, Civil3D, MathCAD, and WINEST.
  • Students may be required to purchase additional software.
  • Students are responsible for transportation to complete program requirements.
  • Program requirements could include co‑ops, placements, volunteer requirements, practical labs, field projects, assignments, clinicals, or any other off‑campus visits.

Eligible for Post‑Graduation Work Permit (PGWP) and associate membership with OACETT.
