Position: Environmental Compliance Specialist Role

Take charge as an Environmental Specialist, emphasizing compliance in hazardous waste management. Mobilize across Ontario while ensuring provincial and federal regulatory adherence.

The position is focused on the effective management of hazardous materials through preparation, documentation, and transportation. You will develop expert knowledge of regulations and participate actively in environmental initiatives. Your flexibility is key, working varied schedules and addressing emergency situations when they arise.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and label hazardous waste for safe disposal

• Ensure compliance with environmental regulations in all activities

• Operate vehicles for transportation of hazardous waste

• Support Household Hazardous Waste municipality events

• Respond promptly to hazardous material emergencies

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s or diploma in related environmental field

• Excellent written and spoken communication skills

• Ability to lift 60 pounds and travel between sites

• Team player with strong independent work ethic

• Commitment to hazardous waste advancement program
