Overview
Our client is seeking an experienced Airworthiness & Quality Inspector to support aircraft maintenance, repair, overhaul, and production activities while ensuring compliance with Transport Canada Civil Aviation (TCCA) regulations and approved airworthiness standards. This role is responsible for inspecting aircraft systems and components, supporting return-to-service approvals, validating regulatory compliance, and acting as a key liaison between internal departments, regulatory bodies, suppliers, and customers.
The successful candidate will play a critical role in maintaining airworthiness standards, supporting quality management initiatives, and driving continuous improvement within a highly regulated aerospace environment.
- Ensure compliance with TCCA CAR 571 and 573 regulations related to aircraft maintenance, repair, alteration, and return-to-service activities.
- Represent the Certified Repair Station (CRS) or TCCA Approved Maintenance Organization (AMO) for U.S. aeronautical products maintained under bilateral agreements between Canada and the United States.
- Approve aircraft, engines, propellers/rotors, appliances, and component parts for return to service following inspection, maintenance, repair, rebuilding, or alterations.
- Issue TCCA Form One documentation, conformity inspection records, and airworthiness approvals in accordance with approved procedures and regulatory requirements.
- Compile and validate airworthiness directives, service bulletins, maintenance records, and component log cards to ensure aircraft conformity and safe operation.
- Validate compliance of life‑limited and cycle‑limited components, airworthiness directives, and technical inspections in accordance with manufacturer recommendations and approved maintenance programs.
- Monitor preservation status and calendar maintenance intervals for airframes and engines.
- Witness and validate functional and operational testing of ELTs, transponders, altimeters, airspeed indicators, air data computers, and aircraft static pressure systems.
- Perform dimensional, functional, and operational inspections of aircraft structures, electrical systems, flight controls, and related sub‑components using precision inspection tools and approved design data.
- Conduct inspections of aluminum, titanium, and steel aircraft structures for cracks, corrosion, damage, and proper assembly.
- Perform receiving and hidden damage inspections for airframe structures and subassemblies.
- Inspect and categorize aircraft parts as serviceable, repairable, or scrap.
- Validate aircraft system wiring harnesses, connectors, and electrical terminations against engineering drawings and specifications.
- Ensure proper tagging, identification, traceability, and airworthiness documentation for all aircraft parts and components.

A) applications. - Act as a quality interface for customers during aircraft delivery and records presentation activities.
- Support implementation and maintenance of Quality Management System (QMS) requirements related to engineering and manufacturing activities.
- Participate in internal and external audit activities to ensure regulatory compliance.
- Support incident investigations, non‑conformance management, and corrective/preventative action activities.
- Assist with root cause analysis and implementation of corrective actions to prevent recurrence of quality issues.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and identify opportunities to strengthen quality processes and operational efficiency.
- Utilize SAP and related systems to monitor and report Quality KPI performance.
- Support technicians in achieving First Pass Yield (FPY) targets.
- Provide training and guidance to technicians regarding root cause analysis, corrective actions, and human factors impacting aircraft quality.
- Assist production and maintenance teams in troubleshooting failures and implementing robust corrective actions.
