Join General Motors as a Manufacturing Controls Engineer at our St. Catharines Propulsion Plant. This onsite role focuses on optimizing production processes using advanced automation technologies.
The successful candidate will integrate with the Manufacturing Engineering team, providing support across Engine Assembly and Component machining areas. You will troubleshoot equipment failures, enhance safety and quality, and manage various technical projects to boost operational efficiency. Your work will leverage data analytics and control systems to ensure compliance and innovation in manufacturing practices.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide controls support for production operations
• Troubleshoot equipment failures effectively
• Implement preventive maintenance strategies
• Manage machinery controls throughout equipment lifecycle
• Identify and execute controls-related projects
Requirements:
• Electrical, Computer, or Mechatronic Engineering degree
• Strong background in production environments
• Proficient in PLC-based automation
• Solid understanding of robotics and motion control
• Willingness to work off-shifts as needed
