Location: Niagara Falls

Our client, a respected not-for-profit organization, is seeking a Director of Business Operations to provide strategic leadership across finance, operations, information systems, and risk management
. This senior role partners closely with the Executive Director and Board to ensure financial sustainability, operational excellence, and data-driven decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead organizational financial strategy, including budgeting, forecasting, reporting, audit, and internal controls
  • Ensure compliance with all provincial, federal, and funder reporting requirements
  • Oversee banking relationships, cash flow, and long-term financial planning
  • Provide financial reporting and analysis to the Board and Finance Committee
  • Support funding applications and ongoing funder accountability
  • Lead and develop Finance and Information Systems teams
  • Oversee information systems infrastructure, data security, and technology strategy
  • Ensure effective risk management, insurance coverage, and cost controls
  • Contribute to facilities planning and capital projects as required
  • Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Commerce, or related field
  • CPA designation in good standing
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in full-cycle financial management, preferably in a not-for-profit or healthcare environment
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in a finance leadership role
  • Strong knowledge of information systems and financial software
  • Solid understanding of relevant provincial and federal legislation
  • Proven leadership, collaboration, and strategic planning skills
  • Additional Requirements

  • Valid driver’s licence and access to reliable transportation
  • Clear Police Vulnerable Sector Check
  • First Aid/CPR and risk-management related training considered assets
