This Planning Technician position is a fixed-term contract designed to support the Current Planning Department. You will intake and process planning applications using Cityview software, review submissions for completeness, and assist with public notices and meetings. Your contribution will ensure community engagement and adherence to guidelines.

Key Responsibilities:

• Process planning applications and review for completeness

• Create and distribute public notices and location maps

• Assist with pre-consultation application scheduling

• Provide backup for Secretary Treasurer of Committee of Adjustment

• Attend and take minutes at public meetings and open houses

Requirements:

• Diploma in Planning, Geography, or Urban Studies

• Minimum one year of planning experience preferred

• Knowledge of Ontario Planning legislation

• Proficient in application processing software

• Strong communication and organizational skills
