Brock University Government Relations Advisor

Location: St. Catharines

Drive strategic government relationships at Brock University as a Government Relations Advisor. Your expertise in policy analysis and advocacy will influence Brock’s institutional goals and community initiatives.

Reporting to the Director of Government & Community Relations, this role focuses on building and managing relationships with various government levels and community organizations. You will monitor policy developments, ensure compliance with legislative acts, and provide essential research and analysis to support senior administration. Your work will advance Brock's priorities in a dynamic academic environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Analyze emerging government policies impacting the university

• Ensure compliance with the Lobbying and Ethics Acts

• Provide policy insights to senior administration

• Create strategic government funding submissions

• Represent Brock at community and government events

Requirements:

• Degree in political science or related field

• Experience in government or political office

• Strong writing skills for proposals and briefs

• Advanced research and analytical skills

• Understanding of government decision-making processes
