Vintage Hotels & Niagara's Finest Hotels are currently seeking a Full-Time Systems Administrator to join our growing Corporate Team!

Position Summary
:
To provide Tier 2 & 3 high level desktop, network and point of sale system design and support to all internal departments in a professional and timely manner.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Maintain essential IT operations, including operating systems, security tools, applications, servers, email systems, laptops, desktops, software, telephone systems and hardware
  • Perform server administration tasks, including user/group administration, security permissions, group policies, print services, research event log warnings and errors, and resource monitoring, ensuring maximum system performance and uptime
  • Monitor datacenter health using preexisting management tools and respond to hardware issues as they arise; help build, test, and maintain new and existing servers as needed
  • Maintain internal infrastructure requirements including, laptop and desktop computers, servers, routers, switches, firewalls, printers, phones, security updates; support internet, intranet, LANs, WANs, and network segments
  • Track and resolve issues via IT Service Desk System
  • Install, configure and troubleshoot computers, servers and network infrastructure
  • Assists in monitoring network security and performance
  • Ensuring data is stored securely and backed up regularly while following the Disaster Recovery Plan
  • Provides anti-virus management
  • Manage and Maintain the Windows Updates platform
  • Having a thorough knowledge of Lais Hotel Properties Limited’s’ products and services
  • All other duties as assigned
  • Professional Requirements:

  • Post-Secondary Diploma or Degree in Computer Science, Data Communications or Information Security
  • 3+ years of experience related to the corresponding technologies
  • Required technical skills:
  • Cisco IOS with strong knowledge of Routing, VLANs & QoS
  • Microsoft Hyper-V Virtualization with High Availability
  • Microsoft Windows Server 2012R2, 2016 & 2019

    Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, WSUS, DHCP.
  • Microsoft SQL Server
  • Microsoft Office 365 & Other Cloud Platforms
  • Manage Engine ITIL Software Suite
  • Veeam Backup & Replication.
  • Sonic Wall Next-Gen Firewall
  • Mitel Telephony Suite including Call Centre
  • HPE & Lenovo Hardware
  • IP CCTV Cameras and NVR Software
  • Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) (Preferred)
  • Personal Attributes:

  • Able to work on projects with minimal supervision
  • A team player who is flexible and responsible
  • Must be a patient and steadfast worker
  • Multitasking skills with a proven ability to juggle multiple projects with changing priorities, under minimal supervision
  • Proven analytical and troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to work rotate in the after-hours emergency on-call schedule
  • Additional Assets:

  • CompTIA Network+ and A+
  • Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE)
  • Ethernet and telecom cabling
  • Previous experience in the Hospitality Industry
  • Experience supporting a Call Centre environment
