Position Summary
:
To provide technical hardware and software support to all internal departments in a professional and timely manner.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Respond to and resolve service desk escalations and service requests
  • Assist internal personnel with Mac and PC issues, networks, printers, software, and configuration of phones
  • Responsible for both Mac and PC support over full life cycle
  • Troubleshoot Windows 10/11, Microsoft Office, and other PC software
  • Image and deploy PCs to company and client standards
  • Troubleshoot and configure printers, copiers and scanners
  • Perform routine network and PC installation, and troubleshoot, maintain and resolve any related problems
  • Provide telephone support
  • Maintain inventory tracking
  • Responsible for maintaining server room
  • Conduct security and compliance checks and mitigate issues
  • Provide A/V setup for meetings
  • Assist with on-boarding and off-boarding of users
  • Package, test, deploy, update, and troubleshoot software
  • Analyze desktop hardware and software processes for efficiency and need
  • Document processes and procedures
  • Train users and other personnel on how to best use the different systems and tools
  • Maintain phone system users, teams, and call flow logic
  • Having a thorough knowledge of Lais Hotel Properties Limited’s’ products and services
  • All other duties as assigned
Professional Requirements:
  • Post-Secondary Degree (or equivalent) in IT or related discipline (Preferred)
  • 1+ year of experience related to IT
  • Required technical skills:
    • Working knowledge of desktop and laptop hardware
    • Familiarity with networking, routing, ports, and protocols
    • Ability to troubleshoot Windows 10/11, Microsoft Office, and other PC software knowledge
    • Ability to troubleshoot printers, copiers and scanners

  • Able to work on projects with minimal supervision
  • A team player who is flexible and responsible
  • Must be a patient and steadfast worker
  • Multitasking skills with a proven ability to juggle multiple projects with changing priorities, under minimal supervision
  • Proven analytical and troubleshooting skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work rotate in the after-hours emergency on-call schedule
Additional Assets:
  • Previous experience in the Hospitality Industry
  • Previous experience with Mitel Telephony Suite
  • Experience supporting a Call Centre environment
