Location: St. Catharines

Our client is seeking a driven and analytical Senior Buyer to join their team. If you're a self-starter with a curious mindset and a passion for building strong supplier relationships, this could be the perfect opportunity for you to take ownership and contribute to a growing company.

Stable, full-time position with standard office hours of 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM

Responsibilities:
Manage supplier relationships and product categories within an agricultural sourcing environment.
Coordinate product preparation and related supplier services as required.
Monitor inventory requirements, quantities, and delivery timelines to support business needs.
Coordinate import documentation and customs requirements for internationally sourced products.
Forecast future purchasing requirements and proactively plan procurement activities.
Negotiate pricing and commercial terms with suppliers while maintaining strong working relationships.
Use ERP and business intelligence tools to analyze purchasing data and identify requirements.
Prepare and maintain accurate purchase orders and validate supplier pricing and invoicing details.

Qualifications:

5+ years of purchasing, sourcing, supplier management, contracts, and inventory planning in complex, multi-SKU environments.
Familiarity with customs processes is highly advantageous.
Proficiency in Microsoft Business Central and Power BI.
Self-motivated, collaborative professional with strong interpersonal skills, a proactive approach, and the ability to take ownership and initiative.
Analytical and curious mindset, with strong problem-solving skills and a data-driven approach to decision-making.
