Roles and responsibilities: Under the supervision of the Master Grower, the Assistant Grower will execute the following tasks related to production for outside grow:

Perform all growth media tests (Moisture, PH/EC)

Ensure proper irrigation of all plants in the zones of their control.

Ensure crop work is being done appropriately by the labour teams while they are in their zone.

Maintain and observe general health of the plants within their zone on a daily basis.

As needed, effectively scout for insects and diseases. Spot spraying when necessary.

Responsible for the applications of Biologicals and for requesting additional orders from the Master Grower.

Fill out all necessary crop paperwork.

Work with Master Grower and Facilities to ensure irrigation is working as desired.

Working with the labour teams, ensure all waste is removed from zone by end of day.

Show initiative with the improvement of their processes, with intention of increasing cannabinoids, yield and terpenes.

Work with Cleaning and Sanitation to ensure that their Zones are cleaned to a satisfactory level.

Responsible for the yield, potency, terpenes, and quality of the product coming from their zones.

In cooperation with other Assistant Grower, ensure that the health of the plants is monitored and kept over the weekends.

Competent to independently: maintain mothers, cut clones, rear clones, rear transplants, maintain vegetative plants and flowering plants.

Ability to perform cloning, transplanting, pruning, defoliation, harvesting, bucking and other tasks as assigned.

Minimum Requirements:

A college diploma in horticulture or related field is required

2-3 years of work in the Agricultural industry

Available to work evening and weekend as required to ensure the health of the plants and quality of product

Pesticide Applicators Licence, or Exterminator licence is an asset

Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time

Ability to use hands repetitively to handle, feel or operate standard office equipment

Manual dexterity with the ability to flex, reach and use fingers

Ability to lift up to 25 kg
