Overview
Non‑Destructive Testing (NDT) Technician at Airbus Helicopters, Fort Erie, Ontario. Perform magnetic particle, fluorescent penetrant, ultrasonic and eddy current inspections and interpret results for defect detection and reporting.
Responsibilities- Conduct magnetic particle and fluorescent penetrant inspections on incoming parts, evaluate results using codes, standards and specifications, and sign off when parts pass.
- Perform ultrasonic inspections and material testing, selecting appropriate techniques, setting up equipment, interpreting results, and issuing Non‑Conformance Reports for defective parts.
- Execute eddy current inspections, interpreting test codes, setting up equipment, evaluating results, and reporting findings, with sign‑off when parts pass.
- Validate NDT instructions and procedures, manage incoming and outgoing racks, and collaborate with Repair & Overhaul for returned defective parts.
- Canadian General Standards Board (CGSB) certification or ability to acquire within 12 months.
- Government licensing in ultrasonic or eddy current testing (levels 1‑3) preferred; NAS 410 certification is an asset.
- Level 2 technicians: minimum 2,000 hours;
Level 3 technicians: minimum 5,000 hours; magnetic particle or fluorescent penetrant: minimum 3,000 hours. - Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office and Google Suite;
Salesforce experience is considered an asset. - Strong analytical, communication, attention‑to‑detail, and independent judgment skills; annual eye exam required to meet NAS/CGSB standards.
