About the Position
ADM is looking for a motivated and safety-focused Roll Tender to join our Mill operations. This position is ideal for individuals with strong communication skills, proven production experience, and the ability to work effectively within a team. Reporting to the Mill Superintendent, this position is responsible for supporting sanitation & mill operations by assisting with flour and wheat end processes, performing housekeeping sanitation duties, and ensuring safe, efficient, and productive work practices.
Duties and Responsibilities
Complete housekeeping/sanitation requirementsDuties may be physically demanding – Heavy lifting and repetitive motionComplete all flour changes on yield management systemMonitor equipment, complete flour and wheat changesAssist in daily operations of the flour and wheat endsProvide coverage for Mill Operator 1 tasks as requiredMaintain a safe, clean, and organized work environmentEnsure compliance with all health, safety, and environmental proceduresFinding data as necessary to correctly complete dutiesIdentify, troubleshoot, and resolve issues promptlyCommunicate effectively with team members and managementMaintain accurate records and perform computer-based reporting tasksRequired Skills and QualificationsExperience with high-speed production environmentsAbility to foster and maintain a safe work environmentProficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)Strong leadership qualities with a confident, courteous demeanorEffective verbal and written communication skillsMust have mechanical aptitude & mathematical skillsGood attention to detail and troubleshooting abilityKnowledge of relevant industry practices and standardsEducation or Work ExperienceRelevant experience in a mill or manufacturing environment preferredPrevious work in a high-speed production setting strongly desiredDemonstrated ability to work safely and efficiently in a team environmentManagement experience preferredAdditional InformationPerform physically demanding tasks, including climbing stairs, standing for long periods, bending, kneeling, and working in confined spaces or at heightsMay be required to lift 55 lbs. / 22 kgTolerate extreme temperatures in various areas of the facilityWalk long distances and work with tools as part of daily responsibilitiesFollow instructions and adapt to operational demandsAll candidates must have authorization and the ability to maintain authorization to legally work in Canada.Benefits and Perks
