Hazardous Waste Chemical Technician

Location: Niagara Falls

Photech Environmental is seeking a skilled Chemical Technician for our Niagara Falls facility. This role emphasizes safety in hazardous waste processing and effective teamwork.

In this position, you will be responsible for the comprehensive oversight of chemical waste handling, sorting, and consolidation. A background in hazardous waste processing with at least three years of experience is essential, along with a strong understanding of safety regulations and practices. You will operate within a dynamic team while wearing specialized PPE to ensure all safety protocols are followed.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assess and segregate hazardous chemical waste

• Safely consolidate chemicals for disposition

• Prepare and label waste containers per regulations

• Document waste processing activities diligently

• Respond to emergencies involving hazardous materials

Requirements:

• Relevant college program completion

• At least 3 years of experience in waste processing

• Familiarity with regulatory standards

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Ability to work in varying temperatures
