Qualifications   Current certificate of competence from the College of Nurses of Ontario.
Experience caring for cognitively impaired seniors.
Comprehensive knowledge of nursing and health‑care practices.
Knowledge of infection control practices.
Demonstrated commitment to working with seniors.
Ability to work effectively individually and with others while prioritizing tasks.
Strong communication skills – verbal (in person or over the phone) and written.
Active listening, friendly demeanor, and the ability to synthesize information to generate solutions.
Excellent organizational, planning, time‑management, and multi‑tasking skills.
Responsibilities   Provide resident care meeting nursing standards, physician orders, and administrative policies.
Observe, record, and report vital signs, symptoms, and conditions of residents.
Ensure application of required nursing techniques.
Assist in assessing residents and develop, implement, review, and evaluate resident care plans.
Monitor residents’ health, note changes, and assess need for referral to doctors; execute physician orders.
Plan, direct, supervise, and evaluate the work of personal care staff assigned to the unit.
Assist in preparing the facility for RAI MDS.
Act as staff replacement in the absence of the Registered Nurse.
Complete medication passes accurately and timely.
Compensation & Benefits  Hourly wage: $33.47 – $35.07.
