Part Time Registered Practical Nurse Position

Location: St. Catharines

Support senior care as a Part Time Registered Practical Nurse with Extendicare St. Catharines. This role emphasizes quality nursing practices and resident assistance while working 15 hours biweekly.

Extendicare seeks a dedicated temporary RPN to enhance care for seniors. In this role, you will monitor health conditions, develop care plans, and evaluate personal care staff. Key skills include effective communication with residents and staff, time management, and knowledge of health practices.

Key Responsibilities:

• Observe and record vital signs and symptoms of residents

• Develop and implement resident care plans collaboratively

• Supervise personal care staff and evaluate their work

• Administer medications accurately and timely

• Prepare the facility for RAI MDS assessments

Requirements:

• Current RPN certification from the College of Nurses of Ontario

• Experience with cognitively impaired individuals

• Robust knowledge of infection control practices

• Effective organizational and planning skills

• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
