Registered Practical Nurse - Part-Time Role

Location: St. Catharines

Enhance the lives of seniors at Heatherwood Retirement Residence as a Registered Practical Nurse. This part-time position involves overnight shifts dedicated to compassionate care.

In your role as a Registered Practical Nurse, you will focus on administering medications safely, developing care plans, and supporting resident wellness. This position requires strong documentation skills and the ability to mentor unregulated care workers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Administer medications following protocols and physician orders

• Document assessments and follow up on patient concerns

• Promote health and self-sufficiency among residents

• Develop and review care plans for individual needs

• Provide direction and training to the care team

Requirements:

• Valid RPN registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario

• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification

• One year of geriatric nursing experience

• Current certification in medication administration

• Eligibility to work in Canada required
