Seasonal Grounds Co-op

RESPONSIBILITIES

· maintains gardens and turf areas, including: weeding, pruning, watering, cultivating, mowing and power trimming;

· plants gardens (flowers, shrubs and trees), sodding or seeding turf areas;

· repairs hardscape areas (walkways and roadways);

· garbage removal as per schedule;

· assists with irrigation repairs and minor installs;

· weather depending, snow removal is a possibility;

WORKING CONDITIONS:

· various weather conditions;

· handling heavy loads;

· combination of sitting, standing, walking, bending, crouching and kneeling;

QUALIFICATIONS:

· must enjoy working outdoors;

· a valid driver’s license;

· capability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, complete repetitive tasks and pay attention to detail;

· able to work independently and in a team environment;

· keeps safety as a number one priority in all activities;

· good communication skills;

· a horticultural background would be an asset;

· experience operating small equipment would be an asset;
