Cascades Greenpac is one of the most advanced, eco‑friendly linerboard manufacturing facilities in North America. We are searching for aQuality Excellence Lead who will champion quality performance across the mill—driving systems, culture, and process improvements that ensure we deliver consistent, high‑value paper products to our customers.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
Quality Systems & Standards
Maintain and enhance the mill’s Quality Management System (QMS)
Monitor compliance with quality specifications, standards, and procedures
SME for various certifications (FSC, SFI, RPTA, etc.)
Lead internal audits and prepare the site for external audits/certifications
Develop relationships with customers as the site’s point of contact for customer inquiries regarding product quality and trials
Utilize SAP effectively to document quality activities
Continuous Improvement
Responsible for the Quality Pillar
- Voice of the Customer, quality assurance & quality control
Partner with Operations to analyze process variability and implement corrective actions
Use problem-solving tools (RCA, 5 Whys, DMAIC, PFMEA) to reduce defects and deviations
Facilitate cross-functional CI initiatives that improve product consistency and reduce customer complaints
Product Quality & Analytics
Track and analyze quality KPIs, trends, and data to identify systemic issues
Management of site lab equipment, calibrations, repairs and replacement
Support process control improvements and collaborate with the lab on testing standards
Implement and ensure completion of daily quality management activities through a collaborative team effort
Participate in trials, qualification runs, and product development initiatives
Leadership & Collaboration
Coach teams on quality best practices and build a culture of ownership
Engage with operators, supervisors, and leaders to embed quality into daily operations
Act as the voice of the customer within the mill
YOUR QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
We recognize quality talent comes from many industries. Your success will be driven by your mindset, collaboration skills, and technical acumen.
Paper industry experience is a plus, but we also welcome strong quality professionals from manufacturing, packaging, food & beverage, automotive, chemical, or other regulated industries who bring robust system thinking and a passion for continuous improvement.
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality, Science, or related field — equivalent experience will be considered in lieu of a degree
3+ years of experience in a quality-related role within manufacturing
Working knowledge of quality systems, standards, and problem-solving tools
Strong data analysis, critical thinking, and communication skills
Ability to engage frontline teams and lead change with a servant‑leadership approach
Experience in paper, packaging, pulp, converting, or continuous process manufacturing highly desirable
Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or equivalent CI experience
Hands‑on experience with QMS implementation and/or ISO standards
Familiarity with SPC, MSA, and statistical tools
