Location: Niagara-on-the-Lake
We are looking for an enthusiastic and keen individual to fill the role of Assistant Store Manager for our Lindt Chocolate Shop in Niagara Outlet Collection on a contract basis.
Responsibilities- Assist with the management of the daily operations of the Lindt Chocolate Shop.
- Support the generation and growth of corporate sales.
- Uphold exemplary customer service by modeling appropriate behaviours and establishing clear service standards.
- Monitor sales performance and labour requirements daily to maximize store profitability without compromising customer service.
- Assist with recruitment activities including interviewing and hiring Retail Sales Associates.
- Supervise store employees to maximise customer service, sales, and profitability.
- Support training on sales techniques and product knowledge.
- Order merchandise and supplies in a timely manner with a focus on inventory management and loss prevention.
- Reconcile daily cash with sales receipts and complete daily paperwork, payroll, accounting, and store administration tasks.
- Develop and apply in‑depth knowledge of products and sales data to achieve sales targets while controlling expenses.
- Assist with ongoing performance management, including employee performance reviews.
- Maintain store merchandising presentation in line with company standards.
- Maintain high standards for cleanliness and food and product safety.
- Manage cash handling, inventory ordering, and related retail administrative duties.
- Post‑secondary education.
- Minimum of five years of experience in retail sales, including management or supervisory experience.
- Experience in inventory control and order management.
- 1 to 2 years of experience in a retail management role with 2 to 5 years of overall retail experience.
- Previous experience in merchandising or visual presentation.
- Ability to multitask and manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
- Excellent customer service and sales skills.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Strong computer proficiency in MS Office.
- Demonstrated ability to go above and beyond to deliver exceptional customer service.
- Passion for chocolate.
- Salary range: $47,000‑$60,000 CAD per annum (final agreement based on market conditions and experience).
