Position: Full Time Security Guard
Site: Oxy Vinyls Canada Inc., 8800 Thorold Town Line Rd, Niagara Falls
Hours: Continental Nights (1830 - 0630 hrs)
Averaging Agreement: Overtime is Averaging Agreement after 88 hrs
External Closing date: Feb 26, 2026
Key responsibilities:
Protect property, assets, personnel, and visitorsControl and monitor access for staff, visitors, contractors, and vehiclesRespond to incidents, alarms, emergencies, and service callsMonitor and operate security systems (CCTV, access control, alarms)Provide professional customer service and assistance to visitors and employeesHandle lost & found items and maintain key, radio, and pager logsIdentify and report unsafe working conditions and facility damageProvide first aid and medical assistance when requiredRespond calmly and professionally to all types of occurrences and crisesPromote a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment for a diverse communityEnsure all security measures are operational and report deficienciesWork effectively both independently and as part of a teamAddress policy breaches and document facility concernsComplete clear, accurate, and detailed incident reportsRequirements:
Proficiency in Computer literacyAbility to sit/stand and walk/climb stairs throughout the building & push min. 25lbsMinimum of one year of experience in a security role is requiredA Valid Ontario Security Guard License & First AID CPR CProficient in English (both oral and written)COVID
19 VaccinationCustomer Service Experience is considered an assetMust be able to provide certifications in Use of Force (UOF) and Management of Aggressive Behavior (MOAB)Applicants who do not possess these certifications can opt into Paladin's Use of Force (UOF)/Management of Aggressive Behavior (MOAB) training program prior to their onboarding training to ensure they meet the requirements of the positionLegally authorized to work in CanadaPlease be aware:
The UOF/MOAB certification is not paid as it is a pre-employment requisite; however, Paladin will cover all the costs of the training with a 6-month commitment to the position/availability
