Niagara, ON - Pay Rate: $26.75 per hour
- Status:
Part‑Time Position - Shift: Monday to Friday, & Saturday/Sunday,
- Conduct patrols of designated areas to monitor and ensure the safety and security of the premises.
- Monitor surveillance systems and alarms, promptly responding to any security breaches, disturbances, or suspicious activities.
- Escort contractors and guests through the facility providing assistance, directions, and information as needed while enforcing security policies.
- Perform security checks of buildings, doors, windows, and other access points to prevent unauthorized entry and ensure compliance with security protocols.
- Report any security incidents, accidents, or hazards immediately to supervisors or appropriate authorities, documenting observations and actions taken.
- Collaborate with law enforcement, emergency responders, and other security personnel to coordinate responses to incidents and emergencies effectively.
- Maintain accurate logs and records of patrol activities, incidents, and observations, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct routine inspections of security equipment, vehicles, and emergency supplies, reporting any issues or deficiencies for prompt resolution.
- Conduct risk assessments and security audits of client premises, identifying vulnerabilities and recommending security enhancements to mitigate risks.
- Participate in training sessions and professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge of security procedures, emergency response protocols, and relevant regulation.
- Must be able to work for a minimum of 24 hours a week.
- A full valid driver's licence (Class G) is mandatory plus a clear driver's abstract.
- Must be at least 25 years old for insurance purposes.
- Valid ON Security Guard License.
- Must be able to escort contractors and guests through the facility.
- Must be comfortable walking for a long period of time throughout the shift.
- Valid First Aid and CPR certificate is a must.
- Familiarity with access control systems and alarm monitoring.
- Experience with report writing and note‑taking.
- Knowledge of CCTV monitoring systems.
- High school diploma or equivalent/GED or equivalent work experience.
