Location: St. Catharines
CASON is hiring a Counsellor specialized in youth addiction support in Niagara. This full-time role focuses on providing therapeutic services and case management for youth experiencing substance use challenges.
The Counsellor will work closely with young clients in the Residential Support Treatment Program, delivering individual and group counselling while promoting access to vital community resources. Your experience in youth counseling and addiction support will be crucial for the success of these young individuals.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assess and address youth needs using motivational interviewing
• Design and implement individualized treatment plans
• Facilitate group counselling and family engagement sessions
• Provide crisis intervention and preventive counselling approaches
• Keep accurate clinical records in compliance with agency standards
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree with 2 years’ addiction counselling experience
• In the process of regulatory college registration
• Previous youth program experience
• First Aid and CPR certification is mandatory
• Valid driver's license and insurance required
