Support the Anishinaabe community as a Cultural Service Provider in the Wiikwemkoong Child and Family Services. This in-office role emphasizes offering direct cultural services to families and youth.

Wiikwemkoong Child and Family Services seeks a Cultural Service Provider in Wiikwemkoong Unceded Territory. This vital role partners with Knowledge Keepers to ensure culturally relevant services align with community ethics and traditions. You will work directly with families, aiming to uplift cultural practices and provide necessary support.

Key Responsibilities:

• Engage in monthly discussions with the Team Lead

• Develop a cultural resources list with Knowledge Keepers

• Organize training on cultural practices for staff

• Promote cultural integration in programs and activities

• Offer services to support the local community

Requirements:

• In-depth knowledge of Anishinaabe traditions

• Experience with First Nations organizations

• Familiarity with child welfare legislation

• Strong commitment to confidentiality

• Speaking Anishinaabemowin is beneficial
