Universal Staffing is hiring garbage collectors/loaders to join a residential waste collection team in Niagara-on-the-Lake.

This is a physically demanding outdoor position that’s perfect for someone who enjoys staying active and doesn’t mind working in all weather conditions. Every day is different, and you’ll be part of a hardworking team that helps keep the community clean.

Location: Townline Rd, Niagara-on-the-Lake, ON

Position Type: Casual (As Needed) – Day Shifts

Must Live within approximately 40 minutes of Niagara-on-the-Lake.

MUST have your own Transportation NOT ON BUS ROUTE

What You’ll Be Doing:

Collect residential garbage, recycling, yard waste, and green bins.

Walk for long periods throughout your shift.

Lift and load bags, bins, and containers weighing 50–80 lbs repeatedly.

Complete approximately 800–1,000 residential stops per day.

Return emptied bins to the curb, upside down, where they were collected.

Work safely alongside your team while providing excellent customer service.

Help ensure waste is properly transported for disposal, recycling, or composting.

What We’re Looking For:

We’re looking for dependable, hardworking people with experience in garbage collection, garbage loading, waste collection, outdoor work, physical labour, heavy manual labour, or general labour.

Demolition

Landscaping

Warehouse & Shipping

Farming / Agriculture

Heavy Manual Labour

You should also:

Be physically fit and able to lift 50–80 lbs repeatedly throughout the day.

Be comfortable walking long distances and completing 800–1,000 residential stops every shift.

Be able to work outdoors in rain, snow, heat, and cold.

Have a strong work ethic and a positive attitude.

Be reliable and punctual and work well as part of a team.

Provide courteous and professional customer service.

Wear CSA-approved steel-toe boots.

Pay & Benefits:

$22.12 per hour

Weekly Pay by Direct Deposit

4% Vacation Pay
