Conduct multiple, medium‑to‑large, critical projects and programs to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local safety and health statutes and regulations. Responsible for recognizing, monitoring, and recommending corrective actions for workplace safety hazards through audits, ergonomic assessments, and interventions, ensuring compliance with OSHA and other regulatory agencies. Support multiple business units across Colorado, primarily Energy Supply and Distribution, with occasional overnight travel.
EssentialResponsibilities
- Provide technical safety consulting services to internal customers, including hazard identification, accident investigations, audits, ergonomic assessments, and accident‑history reviews.
- Conduct focused work‑site and crew observations to identify safety excellence and hazards, deliver annual safety audits and self‑assessments, and provide feedback to business‑unit management on regulatory compliance.
- Monitor and interpret federal, state, and local safety regulations and recommend compliance options in conjunction with safety policies and programs.
- Develop training lesson plans and deliver regulatory compliance training for new hires and annual OSHA requirements.
- Maintain professional expertise through conferences, seminars, and certifications; participate in task‑force committees related to regulatory compliance or continuous improvement in safety.
- Engage and influence management to develop safety leadership; assist site management with contractor safety questions, paperwork, and alignment with safe‑work expectations during projects.
- Bachelor’s degree in Safety, Industrial Hygiene, or a related discipline, or equivalent education and experience.
- Recognized safety certification required.
- Certified Safety Professional designation (BCSP) preferred.
- Three years of work experience within the safety field.
- Current Hayden Station Plant employee.
- Experience with Energy Supply.
- Experience with Distribution.

The anticipated starting base pay for this position is: $71,900.00 to $ per year. This position is eligible for the following benefits (subject to change).
