Responsibilities

Essential Job Functions:

Bag groceries at checkout, striving for at least five items per bag without damage.

Follow best practices for bagging in various types of bags (reusable, plastic, paper).

Assist in removing merchandise from bottom of bascarts for checkout.

Help customers load bags into their cars when possible.

Perform basic shelf conditioning and restocking.

Inform customers of grocery specials.

Return merchandise to store shelves and gather bascarts.

Clean spills, trash, and all areas inside and outside the store.

Handle seasonal merchandise and understand store layout for product location and price checks.

Reinforce safety procedures, report unsafe conditions or accidents.

Adhere to food safety regulations and guidelines.

Inspect equipment and report repairs needed.

Create a welcoming environment for customers by answering questions about products.

Follow all applicable laws and company policies.

Work cooperatively in a high-paced, sometimes stressful environment.

Manage conflicts professionally and act with honesty and integrity.

Support and assist diverse customer needs, including minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults.

Perform essential functions with or without reasonable accommodation.

Desired Previous Job Experience

Retail experience preferred but not necessary.
