** Join our team as a Senior Maintenance Technician!
** If you’re a hands-on maintenance professional who takes pride in quality work, strong customer service, and keeping apartment communities running smoothly, we’d love to talk. Gorman & Company is hiring a Senior Maintenance Technician to support three communities, with primary training and assignment at Riverview Apartments, support at Sunlight Crossing, and assistance at Prairie Run once it opens in Summer 2026.
** What You’ll Do
*** Provide high-level maintenance support across multiple apartment communities, including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, drywall, appliances, and exterior systems
* Serve as a key resource for diagnosing complex maintenance issues and ensuring timely, high-quality repairs
* Support unit turns and make-readies to ensure apartments are move-in ready on schedule
* Respond promptly and professionally to resident service requests and on-call emergencies
* Prepare properties for seasonal conditions, including snow removal and winter readiness
* Coordinate and oversee vendor and contractor work when needed
* Utilize property management software to manage work orders and documentation
* Maintain tools, equipment, vehicles, and supply inventory in a safe and organized manner
* Deliver outstanding customer service while maintaining professionalism with residents, vendors, and teammates
** What You Bring
*** Strong HVAC experience (EPA Type II or Universal preferred)
* High-level, well-rounded property maintenance skill set
* Previous multifamily maintenance experience
* Comfort using computers, mobile devices, and property management software (One Site preferred)
* Excellent customer service skills and professional communication style
* Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and troubleshoot efficiently
* Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and willingness to travel between properties
* Ability to work weekends and flexible hours as needed, including for snow removal and seasonal response
* Availability for rotating on-call coverage

*** Hourly pay range of $33.65–$36.06, based on experience, certifications, and skill level
