Strategic Buyer — Technical Systems f​/m​/d

Responsibilities

• Technical procurement & engineering interface
• Analysis of requirement specifications (URS / SRM), technical specifications and engineering drawings
• Early involvement in product development projects (design-to-cost, make-or-buy) and standardization
• Evaluation of technical equivalences and alternative solutions
• Tendering & benchmarking
• Structured preparation of RFQ/RFP documentation for complex system deliveries
• Definition of evaluation criteria: technical performance, price, delivery time, quality, references
• Conducting market benchmarks and competitor comparisons (min. 3 offers)
• Preparation of decision papers for relevant stakeholders
• Independent negotiation and drafting of supply contracts
• Review of supplier contracts for legal and commercial risks

• Degree in mechanical engineering, mechatronics, automation or equivalent
• Further training in procurement/SCM and/or contract law is an advantage
• Additional business administration qualification (CAS, MBA, or similar) desirable
• 7–12 years' professional experience in mechanical engineering
• At least 5 years in strategic procurement of technical systems
• Experience in drafting and negotiating supply, framework and works contracts
• Experience in special-purpose machinery, automation technology, packaging technology or similar
• Hands‑on experience conducting structured tenders and benchmarks for make-or-buy decisions and technical alternative assessments
