Accountics Group is an Amsterdam-based professional services firm providing complex accounting, administration, payroll, financial advisory, and transaction support to multinational holdings, private equity, and real estate clients. The firm serves an international client base requiring cross-border financial expertise, with specialisations including financial accounts preparation, IFRS and GAAP conversions, consolidations, management reporting, bookkeeping, and audit assistance.

Founded by partners with deep experience in FP&A, restructuring, transaction support, corporate administration, fiduciary services, and regulatory compliance, Accountics Group is growing rapidly. We are now establishing a South African office and are looking for a strong finance professional to be a core hire in that growth.

You will be the right hand to one of the partners, who leads the South African operations. Your role is to manage a portfolio of clients, deliver high-quality financial services, and hold the fort when the partner is in the Netherlands. No two days will look the same: you might prepare annual accounts in the morning, advise a client on a reporting issue in the afternoon, and onboard a new team member before the end of the day.

As the South African team grows, you will be expected to step into a management role, overseeing ateam and taking increasing ownership of client delivery and day-to-day operations. This is a role for someone entrepreneurial who thrives in ambiguity, takes ownership, and is excited by the prospect of growing with a business rather than slotting into one.

• Manage a portfolio of clients end-to-end, taking ownership of deliverables, and maintaining strong client relationships.
• Prepare and review annual financial statements, management accounts, and statutory filings for clients across multiple jurisdictions.
• Manage day-to-day bookkeeping, monthly closing processes, and management reporting.
• Provide hands‑on financial advice to clients: identify issues in the financials, flag risks, and recommend solutions.
• Support consolidation engagements, IFRS and local GAAP reporting, and audit preparation.
• Support the partner in building and running the South African office, including team coordination, workflow management, and quality control.
• As the team grows, step into a management role: mentor junior staff, establish workflows, maintain quality standards, and foster a collaborative team culture.
• Act as a client‑facing representative of Accountics Group, maintaining professional relationships and ensuring service quality.
• Continuously improve processes, adopt technology tools, and drive efficiency across all deliverables.
• Flex across assignments as priorities shift, from bookkeeping to financial advisory to payroll support, as the firm and client base grow.

• A qualified finance professional. CA(SA) is preferred but not a hard requirement. Equivalent qualifications (ACCA, CIMA, AGA or similar) with strong technical ability are equally welcome.
• You have meaningful experience in accounting, financial reporting, and/or client‑facing advisory roles. Experience in public practice, outsourced finance, or a professional services environment is a strong advantage.
