Are you a driven, detail-oriented finance professional who enjoys working with numbers and thrives in a fast-paced environment? An expanding property investment company is looking for an ambitious and compliance-focused Accountant to join their growing team.
Reporting directly to the Financial Manager, this role offers excellent exposure to financial reporting, taxation, audits and broader financial operations within a dynamic and entrepreneurial environment.
Key Responsibilities- Assist the Financial Manager with financial reporting across subsidiaries.
- Prepare and/or review monthly management packs.
- Prepare annual financial statements and supporting schedules.
- Manage and assist with the preparation of audit files.
- Attend to and manage auditor queries where applicable.
- Prepare and review tax computations, including provisional tax payments and dividend payouts.
- Prepare tax returns on Great Soft.
- Assist with VAT verifications, income tax verifications and other SARS-related queries.
- Prepare financial reporting for shareholders.
- Conduct ad hoc financial analysis and support various finance-related projects.
- Assist with documenting and improving business processes.
- BCom Accounting or equivalent qualification.
- 2-3 years' relevant accounting experience.
- Experience in a small audit/accounting practice, or similar environment, would be advantageous.
- SAIPA/SAICA registration is not required but would be beneficial.
- Intermediate Excel skills.
- Strong understanding of accounting, taxation and financial reporting.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
- Deadline-driven and able to work well under pressure.
- Strong work ethic and professional approach.
- Team-oriented with good communication skills.
- Adaptable and willing to take ownership of responsibilities.
- Eager to learn and develop within a growing organisation.
