About the Role

Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Bookkeeper to manage their financial records in Stellenbosch . This role is essential for maintaining the accuracy of the company's day-to-day financial transactions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliations. You will play a key role in ensuring that financial data is up-to-date and readily available for reporting and analysis. • Maintain the general ledger and ensure all financial transactions are accurately recorded.
• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, including invoicing and collections.
• Perform regular bank reconciliations and reconcile other balance sheet accounts.
• Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures.
• Prepare financial reports and statements as required by management.
• Ensure compliance with bookkeeping best practices and relevant regulations.

• National Diploma or Certificate in Bookkeeping or Accounting.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a bookkeeping role.
• Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., Pastel, Xero, Quick Books) and MS Excel.
• Strong understanding of bookkeeping principles and practices.
