Insurance Product Manager

Our client, a forward-thinking insurer, is looking for an innovative Insurance Product Manager to lead product development and strategy for their operations in Stellenbosch, Western Cape . This role requires a strategic thinker with a deep understanding of the insurance market, customer needs, and competitive landscape. You will be responsible for the entire product lifecycle, from conceptualization and design to launch and ongoing management, ensuring products are profitable, competitive, and meet market demands.

• Develop and execute product strategies and roadmaps for new and existing insurance products.
• Conduct market research, competitor analysis, and customer needs assessments to identify product opportunities.
• Define product requirements, features, and pricing strategies in collaboration with underwriting, actuarial, and marketing teams.
• Oversee the product development process, ensuring timely and successful launches.
• Monitor product performance, analyze key metrics, and implement improvements to optimize profitability and customer satisfaction.
• Ensure product compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.

• A Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Finance, or a related field; MBA or relevant Master's degree preferred.
• 5+ years of experience in product management, preferably within the insurance or financial services sector .
• Proven ability to manage the full product lifecycle, from ideation to launch and iteration.
• Strong understanding of insurance markets, products, and customer behavior.
• Excellent analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills.
• Exceptional communication, stakeholder management, and project management abilities.
