About the Role
Our client is seeking a diligent and experienced Construction Site Supervisor to oversee the successful execution of residential construction projects in the scenic Stellenbosch, Western Cape area. You will be responsible for managing daily site operations, coordinating trades, ensuring quality workmanship, and maintaining a safe working environment. This role is vital for delivering high-quality homes and requires a hands-on approach combined with strong organizational skills.
You will work closely with project managers and tradespeople, playing a key role in bringing residential developments to life, ensuring projects meet specifications and client expectations, while upholding the company's commitment to excellence and safety standards.
- Supervise day-to-day site activities, including scheduling trades, monitoring progress, and ensuring work is completed according to plans and specifications.
- Implement and enforce strict health and safety regulations on the construction site, conducting regular inspections and toolbox talks.
- Ensure quality control standards are met by all workers and subcontractors on site.
- Manage site resources, including tools, equipment, and materials, ensuring efficient utilization.
- Maintain accurate daily site logs, including progress reports, incident reports, and safety compliance records.
- Communicate effective with project managers, architects, and subcontractors regarding site progress and potential issues.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in a supervisory role within the residential construction sector.
- Strong knowledge of building codes, construction methods, and materials specific to residential projects.
- Proven ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
- Excellent leadership, organizational, and time management skills .
- First Aid and Health and Safety certification is advantageous.
- Good communication skills for coordinating with diverse teams and stakeholders.
