Leisure Centre Attendant

About the Role

Our client is seeking a friendly and reliable Leisure Centre Attendant to join their team at a community-focused facility in Stellenbosch . You will be the first point of contact for visitors, ensuring a positive experience while assisting with various operational duties. This role requires a proactive individual who can manage multiple tasks efficiently, maintain the cleanliness and safety of the centre, and provide excellent customer service.

You will play a crucial role in the daily functioning of the centre, supporting its mission to provide recreational opportunities for the community.

• Welcome visitors, provide information, and assist with inquiries regarding facility services and programs.
• Monitor and maintain the cleanliness and orderliness of all leisure centre areas, including gyms, pools, and common spaces.
• Assist with the setup and breakdown of equipment for events, classes, and activities.
• Ensure the safety and security of the facility by enforcing rules and reporting any concerns.
• Operate the reception desk, handle bookings, and manage basic administrative tasks.
• Respond to emergencies and provide assistance as needed according to established protocols.

• High school diploma or equivalent qualification.
• Previous experience in customer service or a similar role is preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Basic knowledge of facility operations and safety procedures.
• Reliable, punctual, and possess a positive, helpful attitude.
