Admin Assistant & Student Support Departmental Administrator Belgium Campus Itversity
• Stellenbosch, Western Cape
Duties & Responsibilities Student Support Department Administration
- Sending and monitoring last-attempt letters to at-risk students.
- Facilitate and organise student workshops.
- Manage the extra time/concessions list.
- Develop workshop presentations.
- Creating posters & info graphics for the Student Support Department.
- Administrative support for student disciplinary issues.
- Provide assistance to members of staff as well as students who require documents to be printed and/ or scanned.
- Assist with all student and other academic-related queries.
- De‑enrol or withdraw students from Belgium Campus Admin when required/ instructed to do so.
- File student documentation in respective students files.
- All other administrative duties that might be required.
- Assist students with issues that may be affecting their ability to study.
- Liaise with and refer students to appropriate departments or staff for assistance.
- Create new (physical) student files upon confirmation of enrolment of a new student.
- Contacting the responsible person who is responsible for the students fees if the student is reluctant to get assistance for this at‑risk academic behaviour.
- Review and respond appropriately to all email, online, telephonic and in-person queries received.
- Organise on-campus activities including a one‑on‑one with students and group-based workshops e.g. career seminars.
- Provide regular reports to the head of the student support department on the following:
- On a monthly basis, all activities are undertaken to improve how the counselling department functions.
- The number of students that the counsellor(s) assisted and mechanisms that were utilised to assist students.
- Minimum Administration qualification.
- English and any other African language; sign language is an added advantage.
- At least 1‑2 years of experience in higher education or student support is advantageous.
- Must have knowledge of successfully coordinating and facilitating student workshops.
- Creative and good at problem‑solving.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proven ability to communicate effectively with different types of people and in cross‑cultural environments.
- Strong passion for the education and development of students.
