About the Role
Our client is seeking an enthusiastic Youth Development Facilitator to join their team in Stellenbosch . This role is dedicated to empowering young people by providing them with the skills, knowledge, and support necessary to thrive personally and academically. You will design and deliver engaging programs that foster personal growth, leadership, and career readiness. This position offers a fantastic opportunity to shape the future of youth in the Stellenbosch community and contribute to positive social development within the Western Cape , utilizing a hybrid work model that combines community engagement with administrative flexibility.
Key Responsibilities- Design, implement, and facilitate engaging workshops and activities for youth aged 14-24.
- Mentor and coach young people, helping them set and achieve personal and educational goals.
- Assist youth in developing essential life skills, such as communication, problem-solving, and financial literacy.
- Connect youth with educational, vocational training, and employment opportunities.
- Organize and supervise youth events, field trips, and community service projects.
- Maintain records of youth participation, progress, and outcomes.
- Experience in youth development , education, social work, or a related field.
- Passion for working with young people and a strong understanding of adolescent development.
- Excellent facilitation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to create a safe, inclusive, and motivating environment for diverse youth groups.
- Familiarity with resources and challenges facing youth in the Stellenbosch area.
- Must be able to work effectively both on-site and remotely.
