About the Role

Our client requires a skilled Well Intervention Specialist to support their operations in the Paarl region within the Oil & Gas sector. This role focuses on planning, executing, and supervising well intervention operations designed to maintain or improve production, perform diagnostics, and conduct remedial work. You will collaborate closely with reservoir and production engineers to identify intervention needs and implement the most effective solutions.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of various well intervention techniques, equipment, and safety protocols. This position offers the chance to work on diverse well challenges and contribute to maximizing asset performance in a complex operational environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and design well intervention programs, including wireline operations , coiled tubing, and pumping services.
  • Supervise the execution of intervention operations, ensuring safety and efficiency targets are met.
  • Assess well conditions and perform diagnostics to identify production issues or integrity concerns.
  • Manage the selection and deployment of appropriate intervention equipment and personnel.
  • Analyze operational data and provide recommendations for future intervention strategies.
  • Ensure strict adherence to safety regulations and company procedures during all intervention activities.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Petroleum Engineering or a related technical discipline.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in well intervention or related field operations within the Oil & Gas industry .
  • Strong knowledge of various intervention techniques such as fishing, logging, stimulation, and P&A.
  • Experience with coiled tubing operations and wireline services.
  • Familiarity with relevant safety standards and procedures (e.g., H2S awareness).
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
