Data Engineer

We are looking for an Intermediate Data Engineer with strong AWS, Python, and ETL experience to join our client's data platform team.

Key responsibilities include:

• Develop Python code to integrate with new and existing data sources.
• Load data into the AWS data lake.
• Build and maintain ETL pipelines following best‑practice data engineering patterns.
• Write Terraform scripts to deploy AWS resources and infrastructure.
• Deploy code through CI/CD pipelines.
• Participate in standby/on‑call duties as part of the engineering support rotation.

Skills and Experience Required

• Experience loading data into an AWS data lake
• Experience loading real-time data into an AWS data lake
• Hands‑on experience with Apache Airflow for workflow orchestration.
• Strong Python development skills focused on data integration.
• Proficiency with CI/CD deployment pipelines.
• Practical experience writing Terraform for AWS resource provisioning.
• Good understanding of ETL/ELT pipeline design.

This role is designated for Employment Equity candidates as per the client’s EE plan.

This is a six-month contract opportunity with our client with the option of converting to a permanent employee.
