About the Role
Our client is seeking a dedicated Civil Engineer to join their expanding team in Stellenbosch , focusing on crucial energy projects . You will be responsible for the planning, design, and oversight of civil works associated with energy infrastructure, ensuring structural integrity, safety, and compliance. This role requires a strong understanding of geotechnical principles, structural analysis, and construction management within the demanding context of the energy sector .
You will contribute to the development of vital energy infrastructure that supports regional growth and sustainability.
- Design and oversee the construction of civil structures for energy facilities, including foundations, buildings, and site development.
- Conduct site investigations, geotechnical surveys, and environmental impact assessments.
- Prepare detailed engineering drawings, specifications, and contract documents.
- Manage civil engineering aspects of projects, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
- Ensure all civil works comply with local building codes, safety regulations, and environmental legislation.
- Supervise construction activities and coordinate with contractors, consultants, and regulatory authorities.
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in civil engineering, with a focus on infrastructure projects within the energy sector .
- Proficiency in civil design software (e.g., AutoCAD Civil 3D, Revit Structure).
- Solid understanding of structural analysis, geotechnical engineering, and construction methods.
- Experience with project management and contract administration.
- Professional registration with ECSA is required.
