About the Role
Our client seeks an experienced Process Mechanical Engineer to contribute to their operations in the renowned wine region of Stellenbosch . This role is focused on optimizing and maintaining the mechanical aspects of industrial processes, ensuring efficiency, safety, and compliance. You will analyze existing processes, identify areas for improvement, and implement mechanical solutions that enhance productivity and reduce operational costs. This is an exciting opportunity for an engineer passionate about process optimization and contributing to a company's manufacturing excellence in a culturally rich setting, working on specialized equipment.
Key Responsibilities- Analyze existing industrial processes and identify opportunities for mechanical optimization and efficiency gains.
- Design, develop, and implement mechanical solutions for process improvement, including equipment upgrades and modifications.
- Ensure all mechanical process components and systems meet safety regulations and operational standards.
- Collaborate with operations and production teams to troubleshoot process issues and implement corrective actions.
- Develop and maintain documentation related to process flow diagrams, equipment specifications, and maintenance procedures.
- Oversee the installation and commissioning of new process equipment, ensuring seamless integration.
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering with a focus on process engineering.
- Minimum 6 years of experience in process mechanical engineering, preferably in manufacturing or chemical industries.
- Strong knowledge of fluid mechanics, heat transfer, and thermodynamics as applied to industrial processes.
- Proficiency in process simulation software and CAD tools for mechanical design.
- Experience with P&IDs, PFDs, and process control systems.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
