About the Role
Our client is seeking a meticulous and skilled Mechanical Draughtsperson to join their engineering department in Paarl . In this role, you will be responsible for creating detailed technical drawings and models based on designs provided by engineers. Your accuracy and attention to detail will be crucial in translating engineering concepts into precise, constructible plans for various mechanical projects. This is an excellent opportunity for a talented draughtsperson to contribute to innovative projects within a well-established company in the heart of the Western Cape 's industrial landscape.
Key Responsibilities- Produce detailed 2D and 3D drawings, schematics, and models for mechanical components, assemblies, and systems using CAD software.
- Ensure all drawings comply with company standards, industry codes, and project specifications.
- Collaborate with mechanical engineers to clarify design requirements and incorporate feedback into drawings.
- Create Bills of Materials (BOMs) and other documentation necessary for manufacturing and procurement.
- Maintain and update drawing databases and revision control systems.
- Review engineering drawings for accuracy, completeness, and adherence to design intent.
- National Diploma or relevant certification in Mechanical Engineering or Draughting.
- Proven experience as a Mechanical Draughtsperson, with a strong portfolio of technical drawings.
- Proficiency in industry-standard CAD software, such as AutoCAD, Solid Works, or Inventor.
- Solid understanding of mechanical principles, manufacturing processes, and materials.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in creating technical documentation.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively within an engineering team in Paarl .
