About the Role

Our client is looking for a seasoned Senior Structural Engineer to join their established team. This on-site role is critical for the detailed design and integrity assurance of complex building structures. You will lead structural design efforts, mentor junior engineers, and collaborate closely with architects and construction teams. This position offers the chance to work on landmark projects and contribute significantly to the firm's reputation for engineering excellence in the Western Cape region .

• Lead the structural design of various building types, from concept to completion.
• Conduct complex structural analyses and calculations using advanced software.
• Prepare detailed structural drawings, specifications, and technical reports.
• Collaborate effectively with architectural teams, contractors, and other consultants on-site.
• Review construction progress and provide solutions to site challenges to ensure design intent is met.
• Mentor and guide junior engineers, fostering their technical and professional development.

• Master's degree in Structural Engineering or closely related field.
• 10+ years of experience in structural engineering , with a focus on building structures.
• Expertise in structural analysis software (e.g., STAAD.Pro, Robot Structural Analysis) and design codes.
• Proficiency in South African building regulations and standards (SANS).
• Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication abilities.
• Professional Engineer (PrEng) registration is essential.
