Civil Engineer - Transportation and Roads

• Undertake the geometric design and planning of roads, highways, and intersections, including site investigations and route selection.
• Perform traffic analysis, capacity studies, and develop traffic management plans.
• Prepare detailed engineering drawings, technical specifications, and construction cost estimates.
• Oversee road construction projects, ensuring adherence to design standards, quality control, and safety protocols.
• Coordinate with municipal authorities, utility providers, and contractors to ensure smooth project execution.
• Conduct pavement design and assessment, and recommend maintenance or rehabilitation strategies.

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering; professional registration (Pr. Eng) is required.
• A minimum of 6 years of proven experience in transportation and road engineering projects.
• Proficiency in transportation design software such as AutoCAD Civil 3D, PTV Vissim, or similar.
• Strong understanding of South African road design standards, traffic engineering principles, and contract documentation.
• Experience in managing project budgets and timelines effectively.
