Civil Designer - Municipal Infrastructure

Our client is seeking a skilled Civil Designer to support their ongoing municipal infrastructure projects in Paarl . In this role, you will be responsible for developing detailed design drawings and documentation for a variety of civil works, including roads, water reticulation, and stormwater systems. You will work collaboratively with Civil Engineers to translate concepts into constructible plans, ensuring accuracy and compliance with design standards.

• Prepare detailed engineering drawings and plans for municipal infrastructure projects using CAD software.
• Assist in the design development process for roads, earthworks, water, and sewer systems.
• Perform quantity take-offs and assist in the preparation of bill of quantities.
• Ensure designs comply with relevant engineering standards, specifications, and local authority requirements.
• Coordinate with engineers and project managers to incorporate design changes and updates.
• Maintain accurate and organized project documentation.

• National Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Civil Designer or Draughtsperson.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Civil 3D is essential.
• Experience with municipal infrastructure design is highly preferred.
