Project Mechanical Engineer

Our client is looking for a dedicated Project Mechanical Engineer to manage and execute mechanical engineering projects from initiation to completion at their facility in Stellenbosch . This role demands strong project management skills coupled with a solid technical background in mechanical systems. You will be responsible for defining project scopes, managing resources, ensuring timely delivery, and maintaining high standards of quality and safety throughout the project lifecycle.

• Plan, execute, and finalize mechanical engineering projects according to strict deadlines and within budget.
• Define project scope, goals, and deliverables in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders.
• Develop detailed project plans, schedules, and resource allocation strategies.
• Oversee the design, procurement, installation, and commissioning of mechanical systems and equipment.
• Manage project risks, troubleshoot issues, and implement corrective actions as needed.
• Ensure all projects comply with relevant engineering standards, safety regulations, and quality requirements.

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering .
• Minimum of 6 years of experience in project engineering or project management within an engineering context.
• Proven track record of successfully managing complex mechanical projects.
• Strong knowledge of project management methodologies and tools.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience working in a manufacturing or R&D environment is preferred.
