Our client is seeking an enthusiastic and eager Junior Electrical Engineer to join their growing renewable energy division in Stellenbosch . This is an excellent entry-level opportunity for a recent graduate passionate about sustainable energy solutions. You will work under the guidance of senior engineers, contributing to the design, development, and implementation of solar and other renewable energy systems. This role involves a mix of office-based design work and potential site visits, offering broad exposure to the renewable energy sector.
Key Responsibilities- Assist in the design and specification of electrical components for renewable energy systems, particularly solar PV installations.
- Perform electrical calculations, including load analysis and system sizing, under supervision.
- Support the preparation of technical documentation, drawings, and project reports.
- Conduct site assessments and assist with the commissioning of renewable energy projects.
- Collaborate with the engineering team to troubleshoot technical issues and optimize system performance.
- Stay updated on the latest advancements and technologies in the renewable energy field.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related field.
- Strong academic foundation in electrical principles and fundamentals.
- Familiarity with renewable energy systems , particularly solar PV, is highly advantageous.
- Proficiency in relevant software, including CAD tools and simulation software (e.g., PVsyst, MATLAB).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Good communication and teamwork abilities, eager to learn and grow.
