Project Manager - Civil Engineering

Our client is seeking a dedicated Project Manager with a strong background in Civil Engineering to join their team in Paarl, Western Cape . This role is responsible for the planning, execution, and successful completion of various civil infrastructure projects, ensuring adherence to quality, safety, and budgetary requirements. You will manage project teams, subcontractors, and stakeholders, overseeing all phases from design and procurement through to construction and handover.

The ideal candidate will possess excellent technical knowledge, strong leadership abilities, and a commitment to delivering high-quality infrastructure solutions for the region. This is a vital on-site role requiring full-time dedication to project delivery.

Develop and manage comprehensive project plans, including scope definition, scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation for civil projects. Oversee the execution of civil engineering projects, ensuring compliance with design specifications, building codes, and regulatory standards. Manage project teams, subcontractors, and suppliers, ensuring efficient coordination and timely delivery of milestones. Implement and monitor stringent health and safety protocols on all project sites. Track project progress, identify potential risks and issues, and implement effective mitigation strategies.

Prepare detailed progress reports, financial statements, and project documentation for clients and senior management.

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
• Professional Engineer (Pr Eng) registration is highly desirable.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in project management , with a substantial focus on civil infrastructure projects (roads, water systems, bridges).
• In-depth knowledge of civil engineering principles, construction methods, and materials.
• Proven experience in managing project budgets, schedules, and contract negotiations.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Familiarity with relevant project management software and CAD tools.
