Our client is looking for a highly skilled Senior Project Manager with expertise in the renewable energy sector to join their team in Stellenbosch, Western Cape. You will lead critical projects focused on developing and implementing sustainable energy solutions. This role requires a strategic thinker with a strong understanding of renewable energy technologies and project execution complexities. The hybrid work model allows for flexibility while maintaining essential on-site collaboration for this specialized field.
Key Responsibilities- Manage the full project lifecycle for renewable energy initiatives, from feasibility studies to final implementation and operational handover.
- Develop detailed project plans, including scope, timelines, budgets, and resource allocation specific to renewable projects.
- Lead and coordinate multidisciplinary teams, including engineers, consultants, and construction crews.
- Identify and mitigate project risks, ensuring compliance with environmental regulations and industry standards.
- Manage stakeholder relationships, including investors, government bodies, and community representatives.
- Monitor project performance, reporting on progress, budget adherence, and key performance indicators.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in project management , with at least 3 years focused on renewable energy projects (e.g., solar, wind, hydro).
- In-depth knowledge of renewable energy technologies, market dynamics, and regulatory frameworks.
- Proven ability to manage complex projects with significant budgets and timelines.
- Strong leadership, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Experience with Agile and Waterfall project management methodologies.
- A relevant degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field; PMP certification is highly desirable.
